Job Description
The CMM Program Supervisor will lead our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations. The CMM Program Supervisor will be a hands-on leader who will oversee CMM programming, inspection processes, and quality assurance while also serving as a mentor and trainer for the team. They will need a strong background in metrology, precision measurement, and quality control, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
Essential Functions
Leadership & Supervision:
Act as a working leader, overseeing daily CMM operations while actively participating in programming and inspections.
Manage and support a team of CMM operators and quality inspectors.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and quality control procedures.
CMM Programming & Inspection:
Develop and optimize CMM programs for precision measurement of components.
Perform first-off and final inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
Utilize various metrology tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and surface plates.
Training & Development:
Provide hands-on training to new and existing employees on CMM programming, operation, and inspection techniques.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Act as a mentor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Process Improvement & Quality Assurance:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve non-conformances.
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation..
Education/Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in CMM programming and inspection.
Associates Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field (preferred).
Has a strong working knowledge accepting accounting practices and financial accounting standards
The salary range for this position is: $75,000-$105,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and other factors allowed by law. Individuals are not typically hired at or near the top of the salary range.
