Job Opening: Human Resources Generalist

Summary of Job Duties

Provide administrative support to Human Resources including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment strategies, new hire orientation, training, benefits administration, payroll and wage & salary.

Essential Functions

  • Onboard new employees in payroll system, process new hire paperwork; orientation of policies and benefits, ATM, Infor, Payroll System, benefits, checklists, 90 day Introductory reviews, WTPA.

  • New hires and terminations: coordinate health, 401k, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.

  • Process personnel action forms (transfer, promotion, termination, salary change) and assures proper approvals. Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

  • Provide support for training of new and current employees on various policies and procedures in accordance with CPI business needs.

  • Support maintenance of training records including coordination of training.

  • Support for employee relations including administration of STD, FMLA and WC claims.

  • Maintain record of balances for payroll, medical and FSA bank accounts.

General

  • Coordinate employee meetings related to open enrollment benefits for health, FSA, and Allstate

  • Coordinate and administer reference checks for applicants and respond to employment verifications.

  • Ensure that personnel files are maintained and within compliance, send out required mailings, and copy necessary documents.

  • Run reports as needed by management.

  • Special projects as assigned.

  • Primary contact to internal and external audits related to payroll, and benefits.

  • Conduct annual compliance training to all employees

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred and minimum of seven (7) years of job-related experience, in a human resource department

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Professional with excellent communication, writing and presentation skills

  • High attention to detail and proof reading capabilities

  • Knowledge of employment and payroll law as well as HR practices

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload

The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $87,000 per year. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and other factors allowed by law. Individuals are not typically hired at or near the top of the salary range.
